Claire is not always listening. Modes tell it which memory to use — and whether it may transcribe at all.
Personal
Everyday capture: conversations, ideas, family logistics, the class you did not want to lose. This is the default life log.
Work
Keep professional days in a separate lane so a work question does not pull a personal dinner. Work mode is a higher-plan feature.
On those plans you can also turn anonymization on automatically when you switch to Work, so you do not have to remember the glasses toggle each time.
Private
Private means stop. Recording is disabled. Use it when the room is not yours to keep, or when you simply want the mic off.
Scheduled mode changes
Higher plans can follow a daily rhythm: for example work during the day and private at night. You set the blocks. Claire switches instead of relying on you to remember.
